The impressive panoramic 12-day journey between Pretoria and Victoria Falls stops at carefully selected locations in South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
The journey begins in Pretoria, taking the excited passengers to the Kruger National Park to indulge in some game viewing while enjoying the famed the panorama route in Mpumalanga.
Guests will be taken to Maputo, capital of Mozambique before exploring parts of the Kingdome of Swaziland. Before heading for Zimbabwe, please yourself with another wilderness experience in Kapama Game reserve.
On day 9 and 10, before transcending to Hwange reserve for other game viewing activities, spot the ‘Big Five’ in the 3000 acres of open grassland Antelope Park.
On the final day, the train arrives in Victoria Falls, where you will enjoy a walking tour of the village and the mighty, thunderous Victoria Falls before relaxing on an afternoon sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

NEXT MORNING09h00Full-day Panorama Tour of Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window, one of the Blyde River Canyon’s most spectacular viewpoints. 17h00Return to the train in Nelspruit and depart for Malelane.
NEXT MORNING08h00Full-day game viewing in the Kruger Park, unrivalled in diversity of life forms and a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques. 18h00Return to the train in Malelane and depart to Mozambique
NEXT MORNING09h00Tour of Maputo, Mozambique, a city of contrast and mix of cultures with an architectural blend of African, Portuguese and colonial traditions. 15h30Return to the train for afternoon tea. 18h00After border formalities the train heads for Mpaka, Swailand.
NEXT MORNING08h30Depart in vehicles for Mpaka, Swaziland. Drive through the Ezulwini Valley, past the Ludzidzini Royal Residence and stop briefly at Swazi Candles before heading east to Manzini to experience the Swazi market. Continue north to visit Ngwenya Glass then travel through the Komati River Valley to the border. 18h45After border formalities with South Africa at Tjaneni, rejoin the train in Kaapmuiden. Depart for Klaserie, south of Hoedspruit.
NEXT MORNING07h00Morning game drive in Kapama Reserve, home to over 40 different mammal species, followed by a visit to the Wild Dog and Cheetah Project. 13h00Return to the train for lunch. Depart for Tzaneen with an overnight stop at Louis Trichardt.
NEXT MORNING07h00Day at leisure on board the train travelling to Rutenga in Zimbabwe. Clear customs and immigration at Beitbridge.
NEXT MORNING09h00Transfer to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins – the largest precolonial monument south of the Egyptian border – for a tour. 17h00Return to the train at Bannockburn. Depart for Somabhula for an overnight stop.
NEXT MORNING09h00Full day at Antelope Park. Optional extras include canoeing, game drive, horseback game viewing, elephant-back riding or bird-watching cruise. 17h30Return to the train and depart for Bulawayo.
NEXT MORNING09h00Full day tour of Matobo National Park. Visit the grave of Cecil John Rhodes as well as bushman caves. 16h00Return to train and depart for Dete.
NEXT MORNING06h30Full day game view in Hwange Reserve, Zimbabwe, the nation’s largest wildlife area well-known for its sizeable elephant population. 19h00The train departs for Thompson’s Junction.
NEXT MORNING10h00Arrive in Victoria Falls. Check out of train and walk across to Victoria Falls Hotel (luggage will be stored here). 11h00Meet for walking tour of the Village and the Falls. 16h00Meet at the Hotel for a Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River. 18h30Transfers back to Victoria Falls Hotel. Tour Ends. Please dress accordingly for game drives/excursions: mornings can be cool then warm up considerably; afternoons can be warm then cool down considerably. Warm clothing, hats and sun protection are advised (season dependent). Rain capes are available. Excursions may be changed according to schedule achieved.
